This has to be the best book I have ever read and strongly suggest everyone read this to gain some outstanding skills and education about business and life...it is an absolute winner! Everyone after reading this book, will walk away with dozens of practical ideas that can be easily incorporated and practically implemented. I am shocked that anyone could have rated "What Rich People Know" anything less than FIVE STARS. As a three-time published author and owner of two successful businesses that I started from the ground up, I can speak from personal experience that this book is essential reading for all entrepreneurs. True: it is not a -how-to-get-rich-quick book (which is what a lot of critics were probably looking for), but it is probably one of the finest entrepreneurial business textbooks I have ever read. And as anyone who has read Robert Kiyosaki knows---running your own business is the most-surefire way to riches on the planet. As I redesign the business plan and strategy for my own business, the Unstoppable Artists Business School in Manhattan, I decided to re-read this excellent book. I thought I had underlined all of its wisdom the first time around. I was mistaken, and now the book is nearly illegible from all of the marks and comments I have made to nearly every page. If you run your own business or are in PMA (Publicity, Marketing, Advertising) in any capacity, your breadth of knowledge and wisdom will sky-rocket by reading this book. Some of the reviews are on-target when they say that he doesn't 'give you ideas'. But that's sort of the whole point in business: UNIQUENESS. If author Brian Sher gave you all the 'ideas', then your business would not be unique in any way. You benefit primarily from this book's inspiration. As you read it--if you are open to such--your OWN ideas will start popping into your head with every turn of the page. Brilliant ideas. Wild ideas. Crazy Ideas. Subtle ideas. Simple ideas. But ideas nonetheless. What rich people know is this: YOU NEED TO START AND RUN A SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS OF YOUR OWN IN ORDER TO BECOME AS RICH AS YOU INTEND IN YOUR DREAMS. This book has a poor title but great content. I don't know how secret the ideas are, but it's full of very useful information. Brian Sher lays out techniques that rich people use to become successful.
I usually highlight books that I read to capture interesting parts. This book has more highlighting then most of the books I've read.
I believe that if you follow just 5% of the ideas listed you will become successful. The problem with most books of this type is that the information is excellent, but how do you incorporate the techniques into your life?

The name of the book is deceivingly me-too. I would not have read it were it not recommended by a local newspaper.
It turned out the it was surprisingly good stuff. The best part - it is all common sense, so convincing but at the same time so enlightening - classic wisdom. |

As a learner, I been reading tens of business/self improvement books. This is an excellent book that covers a wide area of knowledge in working towards Richest in Life and Business. And, this book is pretty concise and to the point, which make it easy to read.
One personal comment is that... I don't quite like the second part of the title as ...-> "Desperately want to keep secret." In my view, I think that Only those people who may be "monetary rich" while definitely "mentally poor" will do that. But then again, it could be the author marketing skill to name it that way...> as human curiosity nature likes to see other's secret. |

I read the guy belows review. Go check out all his other reviews. They . I have read this book and I own and run 5 business with combine sales of over $50 Million and can tell you this book is a masterpiece for anyone at any level, if you understand the gems on every page. This guy obviously can't recognise these as he is most likley not in business at all judging by the comments he makes. Buy this book, it worth every cent. |
